“This is our first raw demo” reza la gacetilla de prensa. Es
muy cierto todo: es el primer demo, y es realmente crudo, muy crudo. No hay un
solo aspecto aquí que no esté matizado por la crudeza. Son 4 tracks sencillos,
ruidosos y…crudos. Así, sin vueltas. Y tiene sus buenos momentos este demo, los
tiene. Cuando pisan el acelerador y se van hacia el lado oscuro y bestial de su
propuesta es cuando los originarios de Malasia muestran lo mejor de sí mismos.
Con un estilo que tiene tanto de Punk como de Thrash, Death y Black, Tarantulah
no innova, no arriesgan, pero meten ruido y lo hacen con muchas ganas. Man Rabaxx
(voz), Silentt Shoutt (batería), Rock Angel (bajo) y Rusak Minda (guitarra) son
los integrantes de esta novel agrupación que busca ganarse un lugar en la
escena a base de contundencia y agresividad. Sin embargo, hay detalles para
pulir. Detalles que, por momentos, juegan en contra de la propuesta de
Tarantulah. Es que cuando deciden incluir arreglos melódicos, con arpegios y
guitarras limpias, las cosas no les salen bien. Para ser más precisos, la
guitarra está desafinada, y en las partes en donde reina la calma, ese detalle
se nota mucho. Por el contrario, cuando se deciden a atacar sin piedad es
cuando sale a flote lo mejor de un grupo que promete más de lo que concreta.
Pero que, de seguir evolucionando, pueden llegar a convertirse en una banda a
tener muy en cuenta. Por ahora, este demo es recomendable no sólo para conocer
a un grupo nuevo dentro del Underground internacional, sino también para
empezar a seguirles los pasos a las bandas provenientes de esa región de Asia.
Y, por supuesto, para disfrutar de los momentos en donde la crudeza se adueña
del panorama. Eso es lo que mejor del grupo, estoy muy seguro de ello.
