Tarantulah are a band from Malaysia that plays a mixture of
primitive black metal, thrash, death and punk and this is a
review of their raw 2012 demo "Kedamaian Jalan Hitam" which
was released by Trooper Art Regime.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with not
much in the way of blast beats, while the bass playing has
a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are
coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that
combine primitive black metal, death, thrash and punk together
to create a sound of their own along with a brief use of
soft and clean playing and there are no guitar solos or
leads present on this recording.
Vocals range from deep demonic death metal growls to high
pitched black metal screams as well as a brief use of clean
singing and samples, while the lyrics are written in their
native tongue hateful themes, as for the production it has a
very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Tarantulah are a very great sounding hybrid of
primitive black metal, death, thrash and punk and if you are
a f an of this musical genre, you should check out this
band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Durjana Si Dajjal" and "Viva
La Peace". RECOMMENDED BUY.
